Description

A tour of The Erie Canal Museum is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the 1850 National Register Weighlock Building, the last remaining structure of its kind, and to telling the incredible adventure story of the Erie Canal. Under the leadership of a Museum Docent, come aboard a full size replica canal boat. Learn the function of the locks. This workshop is not intended to address any information specific to interpreting or the Deaf community

PLEASE BE AWARE:  THERE IS AN ADDITONAL $7.00 ENTRANCE FEE TO THE MUSEUM TO BE PAID UPON ARRIVAL.

Target Audience

Working interpreters and interpreting students who wish to expand their knowledge and understanding of the Erie Canal System and it’s historical impact as it directly connects to our local community.
